I’m purposely posting this on the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. On that infamous day Arabs in the West Bank (and around the world) celebrated the death of thousands of Americans. There is plenty of video footage that was shown on mainstream media outlets in 2001. Today, people forget. Google it and you can find it, though not as easily as you used to.
In anticipation of an upcoming article sharing the thoughts, memories and insights of politicians, thought leaders, average citizens and survivors of the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel, I have put together this short video for you. Much of the footage is mine from my visit this week in Southern Israel at the border of Israel and Gaza.
History may not repeat itself- but as they say, it does rhyme.
